The Debauchery Tour '09!

Good Evening Beautiful Bloggy Friends!

It is I, Mandi, along with my amazing Partner In Debauchery (through the magic of the interweb and iChat that is), Candee. We come to you tonight to announce The Debauchery Tour '09! (cue applause) That's right, we are about to embark on a most excellent adventure.

We're hoping to start things off with a little pre-show debauching in NYC starting March 20 and ending when I decide to finally come home. We have no real plans for my time there but whatever we do, we guarantee it will be EPIC and there will be photo and video 'evidence' to show for it. But the real fun will begin Saturday, April 25, 2009, the first day of THE DEBAUCHERY TOUR '09!

Of course Candee and I wouldn't be able to debauch without some of our favorite bands present so day 1 will include some of our favoritest, Fall Out Boy and Cobra Starship (fangs up!). Day 1 will be held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. We will be joined by members of our debauching team, Jell-O and Bridget. It shall prove to be an amazing start to an amazing tour.

The following night, Sunday April 26, 2009, is still tentative and Candee may go home or she may join us, that remains to be seen. But we're hoping to make it to the Bamboozle Roadshow at TLA in Philadelphia, PA which features We The Kings, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab (and you KNOW how we feel about The Cab), Mercy Mercedes, and Never Shout Never. Even if we do not see the Roadshow in Philly, the tickets are already bought and paid for for the Roadshow in Towson, Maryland at the Recher Theater on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Guaranteed fun will be had by all. Candee will be returning from NYC for the adventure and if all goes according to plan we will be kidnapping The Cab and We The Kings and taking them on a bowling adventure. And maybe Denny's. Isn't it fun hanging out in our brains?

The fun does not stop there friends! I mean 3 days would not be much of a tour, would it? Day 4 will be held in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday, April 29 at Fletcher's for the Guys Guys Guys tour featuring Sing It Loud, The Friday Night Boys (our boys!), The Morning Light, Artist Vs. Poet, and The Summer Set. This will be an extra special show for a lot of reasons: first of all it will be the first time we've seen The Friday Night Boys since our horrible 4 hour drive to Allentown, PA on Valentine's Day, and secondly it's because we're taking a gaggle! That's right, we're bringing back up! Candee, Jell-O, and I will be joined by Monica and Kayla (who are driving all the way down from Connecticut to join us) as well as our concert buddy Morgan and possibly our other concert buddies Melissa, Lynda, and Eryn. It will be E-P-I-C EPIC, that's for sure.

You may think the festivities end there but we've only just begun...to rock. Day 5 will see the partners (along with Bridget, Jell-O, Monica, Kayla, and others) make their way to East Rutherford, NJ for the music event of our year: The Hoodwink Festival, AKA the first day of BAMBOOZLE. Hoodwink festival will feature bands tributing other bands including, but not limited to, The Cab (and you KNOW how we feel about The Cab) tributing Queen, We The Kings tributing Jimmie Eat World, and New Found Glory tributing Green Day.

Day 6 and Day 7 will be our THESIS, The Bamboozle Festival 2009, The Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ...We will add Lynda and Eryn to our masses and we've already booked the hotel that will hold the party that is the end of THE DEBAUCHERY TOUR '09!

So, to recap, here are the dates:
March 20 - ? - Pre-debauchery debauching in NYC
Saturday, April 25 - Fall Out Boy (w/ Cobra Starship, All Time Low, and Hey Monday (Metro Station is rumored not to be at our date))
Sunday, April 26 (tentative) - Bamboozle Roadshow (We The Kings, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab, Never Shout Never, and Mercy Mercedes), Philadelphia, PA
Tuesday, April 28 - Bamboozle Roadshow, Towson, MD
Wednesday, April 29 - Guys Guys Guys Tour (Sing It Loud, The Friday Night Boys, Artist Vs. Poet, The Morning Light, and The Summer Set), Fletcher's, Baltimore, MD
Friday, May 1 - Hoodwink Festival, The Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ
Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 - The Bamboozle Festival, The Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ

So there you have it, kids. The Debauchery Tour '09. We hope to see some of you there! And, if you are to be there, let us know. If you find us at one of those shows a prize may just be involved.

As a Triple Sis, I Rule

Hello bloggy friends!

The last you heard from us, my darling partner in debauchery was sharing past debauchery while me and our Jell-O were at The Cab/We The Kings show. Sadly she couldn't join us due to an unfortunate selling out situation. The show was definitely missing something without my Partner in Debuachery to live it up with us but we made sure she wasn't forgotten.

Before the show Jell-O and I were hunting for food and ran into Singer (and the rest of the band) hanging out by their van. Now, sweet bloggers, if you remember, we met Singer not that long ago during the Hello My Name Is... tour weekend (See the There's No Need To Feel Down blog). Anyway, he saw Jell-O and I and recognized us right away. He said "I saw those pictures" (also featured on the There's No Need to Feel Down blog) and I was instantly like "Oh crap, they're kind of embarrassing." Jell-O asked if he was entertained by them and he said he was so that was a plus. Singer just seems to be a really genuine, nice, down to earth guy. He's friendly and funny and if any of you out there ever get a chance to see him perform or meet him, I highly recommend it. Every time he saw us the rest of that night he was making silly faces at us and just making us laugh.

Singer and Me, doing "something crazy."
The Cab

Now on to why I am just the greatest triple sis ever. Knowing how bummed my partner in debauchery and triple sis was to not be with us, I decided I had to do something special just for her. Now if you all don't already know, Candee loves Ian Crawford. After meeting him during the Hello My Name Is... tour, she was sold. Both by how insanely talented he is AND by how incredibly nice he is as well. After the show, when all the guys were hanging out and talking to fans I found Ian and told him about how Candee couldn't join us and how bummed she was. I said it was a 'total fangrrl move' but I was really hoping he could help me out. And since he is just as incredibly nice as I mentioned earlier, he was happy to help. See what we came up with below :-)

Sure this video didn't fix the fact that Candee couldn't join us but it definitely brightened her spirits (and maybe made her squeal like a fangrrl!)

I also have to mention that not only is Ian Crawford insanely talented and incredibly nice but he is also my photographic muse. When Ian is performing he is especially photogenic. Some musicians are just a joy to photograph due to the fact that it is very obvious how much they love what they do. Ian Crawford is one of those musicians. Below I have included the picture I've deemed the greatest picture of Ian Crawford ever taken (even since he was a baby!). I hope you feel the same :)

You can see the rest of my Cab photos on Flickr!

As you've all probably noticed, most of our debauching revolves around concert going. Sadly we don't have another concert on deck until Fall Out Boy on April 25 but that starts a great week that ends with Bamboozle! We won't make it that long without debauching so who knows, I may wander up to NYC or Candee may wander down here to debauch with me. Who knows? We'll try to update more often just to keep you up-to-date with the madness of our lives.

Retroactive

Hello Friends!

I apologize for the lack of updates, of late, but I'm afraid there has not been much debauching.  Never fear, though, the partners are getting back together this weekend for what promises to be an AMAZING time.

Right now, Mandi is with our Jello at a We the Kings/The Cab show, and I'm sitting in my apartment, jealous, and adding a post to this blog.

This weekend, though, is full of debauchery.  We'll be going to The Dance Party on Friday, The Friday Night Boys on Saturday, and Honor Society on Sunday.  In three different states.  I also might go see the Friday Night Boys tomorrow, since we'll both be in New York.

So, since we've had a lack of updates, I decided to upload the video from my 23rd birthday.  Please note that the majority of this video was filmed BEFORE any drinking had been done.

Honor Society-"See U in the Dark" (they made up the dance...not us :-D)

So much fun was had.

Word of the Right Now #2

Hello all you happy readers!

Candee here, bringing you the always fabulous "Word of the Right Now".  I wish I had something else interesting to say, but unfortunately my life has been pretty boring the last few days.  Just cleaning up my apartment and prepping for my brand new roommate (his name is Random...how amazing is that?  I mean, really?).

Without further ado, the Word of the Right Now: Bogart  (Slang Verb):

1. To keep something for oneself, thus depriving anyone else of having any. A slang term derived from the last name of famous actor Humphrey Bogart because he often kept a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, seemingly never actually drawing on it or smoking it.  Often used with weed or joints, but can be applied to anything.

2. To hog something which is supposed to be shared.

Example Sentence:

Stop Bogarting the ____________!!

Fill in the blank in your comment! :-)

There's No Need to Feel Down

Hello Friends!

Or at least, that's what one Adam T. Siska greeted us with as he stepped off of the bus upon the request of one William Beckett.

In other words: this weekend was fabulous.

Let's start from the very beginning; a very good place to start. Let's rewind to Friday.

Aahh, Friday. What a glorious day Friday was. We, along with our Jello (because there's always room for Jello), headed an hour North...ish in order to be a part of a very INTIMATE acoustic performance featuring one William Beckett, the amazing Adam T. Siska (Woooo!), the adorable Ian Crawford, and the pint-sized Alex DeLeon. So who are these people, you may ask... If you have to ask, get off our blog, but before you do, they are the lead singer and bass player of The Academy Is... and the guitarist and lead singer of The Cab (respectively...but not respectably).

So what did this 'intimate' performance entail? It involved your two favorite bloggers, and about 30 other people locked in a teeny, tiny Hot Topic with those four strapping young lads.

Examples:

The Cab: Gone (NSync cover) and Bounce
(watch for Alex DeLeon and William Beckett laughing at my darling Mandi and our Jello, as they were the only two people in the entire store who knew the NSync song...and over-emoted the whole way through.)

The Academy Is...: About a Girl
(You probably can't tell, but the Wet Seal across the mall heard this entire song, per the request of one William Beckett. It was quite a feat considering there were no microphones involved.)

We were also able to meet (and greet!) the fab four after the performance. Candee (with the fabulous moral support of Mandi) had the brilliant idea of creating MadLibs of the band's songs (this brain storm also resulted in the creation of this blog, you lucky people you), thus The CabLibs and Santi's LengthyLibs. The bands seemed excited by our gifts, which was good since Candee spent a ridiculous number of hours making them), especially Ian (he informed us Saturday that HE kept them...).

While we were meeting and greeting, one William Beckett randomly asked Mandi, "So, do you like Wizardry?" Mandi was slightly confused, but was able to respond with something along the lines of "Why yes, yes I do." This led to a discussion over his blog, and a recent pole about who would win in a duel: Gandalf or Dumbledore. This caused an explosion of geek. Mandi geeked, Billy geeked: there was lots of geeking. Candee was confused, because she was at that very moment goading Ian and Alex into promising to play Vegas Skies at the next show, and she kept hearing "Gandalf........Gandalf......wizard....Gandalf."

Candee may have also told Alex and Ian she didn't "want your fucking poster!" and followed it up by reminding them that drunk madlibs on the bus could be really fun. These two boys happen to be under 21. Candee in no way condones drinking before the age of 21....?

Let's skip to Saturday.

We drove to Vienna, VA in order to see the fab four again, and arrived at about 4pm for a 7pm show. We waited outside in the freezing cold until they finally let us in just after 7. The show finally started around 7:30.

We'll skip the gory show details except to say that we recieved a "dedication" when Alex and Ian played 'Vegas Skies' for 'some beautiful fans that asked for it', and then they pointed. After, when we yelled 'thank you' REALLY loudly, they looked over, smiled and waved at us.

There was some banter with one William Beckett regarding Sisky fetching a beer for my dear Mandi (she's still waiting for said beer, Mr. Business...). There was quite a bit of banter, truth be told. We're pretty chatty folks.

After the show, we waited out in the freezing cold yet again, because Alex told me to make sure I said hello. So we did. Of course, he was stuck in the bus when we did...but that comes later.

One William Beckett stepped off the bus to be swarmed by rabid fan grrls, and he patiently and diligently signed and photographed and smiled and blinked and made phone calls. We waited because we requested a pic of him doing 'YMCA' with us. In fact, when Candee mentioned the idea, he overheard us discussing whether we could get him to do it or not and asked, "Get me to do what?" ...there were so many good answers to this question, but we un-originally settled with the truth. He wanted to sing it. The singing didn't happen because by the time we took the picture the poor little peanut was shaking like a leaf from the cold.

YMCA, all day. "No, you're the C!":

We also got pictures with Ian, and he confirmed for us that 'Vegas Skies' WAS played for us. It definitely made my night. That boy is all sorts of adorable. (...did that sound too fan grrl??)

Alex got stuck on the bus. No, I'm not kidding. Something went wrong with the door to the back lounge, and Alex was on one side of it while the door to exit the bus was on the other. We offered to catch him if he jumped out the window, but he didn't seem to think this was as good of a plan as we did...not sure why. We choose to believe that it was because Ian would have been part of the catching team, and Alex knows he can't be trusted.

Jello had the brilliant idea to take pictures of Alex in the window, with us below...check 'em out. We think they're hysterical. We're still not sure if Alex thinks we're nuts, or really funny.

Candee, making her best fan grrl face for Alex DeLeon:

Mandi, in her attempt to climb the bus...or reenacting Romeo and Juliet...Alex was Juliet:

But one William Beckett loves us. He said so. After the YMCA pic, we had hug time initiated by one William Beckett himself. Then we took individual pictures, and Mandi may or may not have tackled the poor boy. He enjoyed it. He went back in the bus, and we were the last three girls standing there. Before exiting completely, he shot us an 'I love you' and we told him to send out Sisky. He did. We were excited.

Sisky joined us with a 'Hello friends' as we mentioned earlier. We talked dirty jokes and special Pepsi, and fan grrls that had been lurking in warm cars came out to attack. A little later, Mandi and Sisky got into a debate about how the Smashing Pumpkins don't rock anymore. Sisky defended their honor. He will remember Kevin Bayly forever. Sorry about that, Kev.

Guilty Pleasure

Hey Kids,

Candee-Mandi stopping by to deliver a little visual stimulation to help pass your day. Please enjoy this video for the song 'Guilty Pleasure' by Cobra Starship...

Cobra Starship - Guilty Pleasure (Home Video) from Fueled By Ramen Music Videos on Vimeo.

Once you've finished viewing it once, view it again, memorize the dance and teach it to everyone you know. Send us pics and vids of you doing your Guilty Pleasure dance and maybe we'll pop some of them up here for everyone's enjoyment.

For an example we've included this lovely video of Alexander William Gaskarth from the band All Time Low attempting the Guilty Pleasure dance himself. Practice makes perfect, Mr. Gaskarth.

Until next time...
